The doctors

Dr. Emily Santini

Dr. Emily Santini received her dental degree from Université de Montréal in 2015. During that time, she was chosen to complete a specialized program at Ste-Justine’s Hospital, where she developed her love for working with young children and teenagers. She then went on to pursue a General Practice Residency Program with McGill University. During this residency, she managed and treated adult patients who required extensive functional and aesthetic attention and was awarded a grant prize for the year.

She then returned to Université de Montréal to pursue her passion for orthodontics, where she completed a three-year specialty program and graduated with honors. Her Master’s thesis also gave her the opportunity to treat patients who suffered from obstructive sleep apnea. Having grown up in the West Island, Dr. Santini is proud to be serving her community.

Dr. Jeremie Abikhzer

After graduating with honors from dental school at Université de Montréal in 2013, Dr. Jeremie Abikhzer completed a general residency program at the Jewish General Hospital, affiliated with McGill University. He then returned to Université de Montréal to pursue his orthodontics specialty. The Charley Schultz Resident Scholar Award and the Invisalign Gallery University Challenge were among the various awards he received.

His Master’s thesis focused on the prevalence of dental malocclusions in children with sleep-disordered breathing. His thesis awarded him the prestigious CIHR and FRSQ scholarships. Dr. Jeremie Abikhzer is currently a staff member at Université de Montréal, where he teaches orthodontics graduate students. He has also successfully completed his board-certification fellowship and is currently a fellow of The Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

Dr. Jack Turkewicz

Dr. Jack Turkewicz received his dental degree from McGill University in 1977 and his master’s degree and certificate in orthodontics from the University of Connecticut in 1981. Since that time, he has been a professor in the Orthodontic Department at the Université de Montréal Faculty of Dental Medicine, where he was Director of the Department of Santé buccale from 2009 to 2021. He has served as President of both Alpha Omega-Mount Royal Dental Society and the Quebec Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Louis Fronenberg – Retired

Dr. Emily Santini started her career alongside Dr. Louis Fronenberg, until his retirement in 2022. Over the years, Atelier Ortho earned its reputation as the West Island’s trusted source for orthodontic care. The immensely positive feedback from our patients highlights the quality of our treatments and we take pride in making everyone feel like part of the AO family!

After we have evaluated your records, we conduct a treatment consultation to explain all aspects of your treatment in detail. We will provide a compete clinical diagnosis regarding the nature of the problem, a written summary of the findings and a detailed plan that outlines your treatment, goals and estimated fees.
